Apache OpenOffice
OpenOffice by Apache is an open-source suite very much similar to Microsoft Office and LibreOffice. It includes the following programs for different purposes:
- Writer – similar to Microsoft Word
- Calc – Similar to Microsoft Excel
- Draw – for editing/creating vector graphics
- Impress – similar to Microsoft PowerPoint
- Base – for database management
- Math – for creating mathematical equations
A reliable alternative to Microsoft Office, Apache OpenOffice delivers many of the same features and supports a wide range of widely used file types.
