Apple TextEdit
Apple TextEdit, as the name suggests, is a plain and rich text editor bundled with macOS. It is used to view and edit these text documents, very much similar to Microsoft Notepad.
The text in your document can be formatted using TextEdit, allowing you to change its alignment, font, style, color, highlighting, and size. Numerous character encodings are also supported by the software. Additionally, you can change the format of your document to .RTFD by adding graphics, images, and videos.
