Audacious
Audacious is an open-source audio player designed for Unix-based operating systems, but also supports the Windows platform with limited features. It is also the default audio player for Lubuntu and Ubuntu Studio.
This software is derived from the XMMS software that focuses on less resource consumption whilst maintaining the audio quality.
