Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word is a word processor and text editing software bundled inside the Microsoft Office suite. It is primarily used for authoring documents of all kinds, including resumes, manuals, lists, and pretty much anything that can be typed.
Word has a number of advanced functions, including mail merge, change tracking, document merging, and macro programming, in addition to the basic page and text formatting options.
By default, Microsoft Word saves files in the Office Open XML .DOCX format. The application also allows users to save documents in the exclusive .DOC format, which was later succeeded by .DOCX.
